Why should I register my Caribou Gift Card?

By registering your card, you protect any remaining balance at the time the card is reported lost or stolen. Caribou Coffee will send you a replacement card with the remaining balance.


How do I register my Caribou Gift Card?

Registration is easy - just go to our Caribou Card registration page. You will need to log in to register your card.


Can I register my Caribou Gift Card over the phone?

Because card registration requires you to enter personal information, for your safety and security, Caribou Gift Cards need to be registered online. A valid email address is required for registration of your Caribou Gift Card. Registration cannot be completed without entering in an email address during the online registration process.


Can I register multiple gift cards?

You can register as many cards as you would like as long as each has a balance on it.


I can't register. There must be something wrong with your website. What should I do?

If your browser is not configured to accept cookies, you will be unable to register your Caribou Gift Card. Instructions for configuring your browser to accept cookies are available through the Help function of your browser.


How do I go about filing a claim for my missing gift card?

Caribou Coffee will replace any remaining gift card balance at the time the gift card is reported lost or stolen. You should contact Caribou Coffee Customer Service at 1-888-227-4268. Someone is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. CST.

We will verify your identity, inactivate the lost card and get a replacement gift card mailed to you. If your gift card is lost after business hours please leave a message or email Caribou Card services.


When can I get a replacement?

All replacement gift cards are shipped via the United States Postal Service within two business days of being reported lost or stolen.


Can I have my replacement balance added to a gift card I already have?

We can add the replacement value to an existing registered Caribou Gift Card. It still takes approximately two business days to complete this process.


Do you offer discounts on large Caribou Gift Card orders?

Yes. Discounts are given to large orders of Caribou Gift Cards. The following list breaks down the order amounts and discounts:

  • $1,000 - $9,999 receive 1% discount
  • $10,000 - $24,999 receive 3% discount
  • $25,000 - $99,999 receive 5% discount
  • $100,000 - $249,999 receive 6% discount
  • $250,000 - $999,999 receive 7% discount
  • $1,000,000 + receive 10% discount

I have multiple gift cards I would like to combine. Can I?

Unfortunately, we cannot combine cards at this time.


Does Caribou Coffee charge a service fee for unused balances on my Caribou Gift Card?

No. As of January 2007, Caribou Coffee no longer charges a $2.00 service fee for balances remaining on a Caribou Gift Card unused for 12 months or longer.


Why does the back of my Caribou Gift Card say that after 12 months of non-use, a $2.00 per month service fee will be deducted from the unused Caribou Gift Card balance?

As of January 2007, Caribou Coffee no longer charges a $2.00 service fee for balances remaining on a Caribou Gift Card unused for 12 months or longer.

New Caribou Gift Cards issued in 2007 and beyond will no longer include information about the service fee.


Do you accept Caribou Gift Cards as payment on your website?

Yes, we accept Caribou Gift Cards as payment on our web site, but the Caribou Gift Card will need to cover the entire amount. We also accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.


How do I split the order payment between my Caribou Gift Card and a credit card?

This can be done through our Customer Service area. Someone is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. CST. Just call 1-888-227-4268 (1-888-CARIBOU).

Otherwise, outside our office hours, you would need to add the required amount to your Caribou Card and use that as your method of payment. Do this by logging in and registering your card if it’s not already registered. Then, click on Add to Balance and add an amount equal to or greater than the difference between the initial Caribou Gift Card value and the amount due. (So, if your order total is $24.99 including shipping and your Caribou Gift Card has $20 on it, you would need to add $5.00 to the card.) Once you have done this, you can use the Caribou Gift Card to pay for the entire order.


I cannot log into my account. Why do I keep getting the login screen?

If you can’t log in and are not receiving a specific error message, you’ve probably disabled cookies in your browser, or your firewall software blocks cookies.

What is Auto Reload?

Auto Reload is a quick, convenient way to ensure your Caribou Gift Card never runs out of funds. You can set your card to reload when its balance falls below a certain amount. Every night we’ll check your balance. If it has dipped below the threshold, we’ll charge the credit card we have on file, and reload your Caribou Gift Card. Sign up now.
